I have just gone to a digital video Viewcam so my like-new Hi-8 Viewcam has to go to a new home.
This Sharp VL-AH160 Hi8mm Viewcam has the extra large 3.5" color LCD monitor screen on the back, and has all the gadgets and features you expect on Sharp's top of the line Viewcam.
It has a 16x optical (!) and 400x digital zoom, the best external monitor I've seen (usable in daylight), and Hi-8 tape capability.
If you have never used a Viewcam, they are absolutely the best way to design a camcorder.
I used to watch school events through a viewfinder, but with the Viewcams I pop it on a monopod, watch things the way you did before cameras, and just keep an eye on the display.
My digital Viewcam is my third Sharp, and they are great!
Check Sharpusa's website for more info.
Like new, with box and cables, one tape and a spare battery, but no remote. I have only taken 2 hours of tape since getting it.
It cost $350 new, yours for $225 + shipping.
