My 18 months old Classic Meade 12" LX-200 is now for sale. I'm selling it because i'm changing to a Ritchey-Cretien with a FLI CCD camera for asteroid hunting (very costly...)and i'll need some cash very soon....
It is still in the original (huge) foam padded double box. This particular unit has been painstakingly checked and optimized, carefully following all the advices from Doc G and Mapug; the very annoying Dec backlash and Reverse-Jumping are gone forever! I even installed the eztelescope focusing knob, working on radial bearings. The optics are absolutely as new.
There are also two couple of brackets (upper and lower)for the installation of Losmandy rails. The rails are not included. There is no tripod and no wedge. It has been installed in a dome for his entire life span. Detailed photo available on request; a full astrophotography university project was done using that scope, and the final draft is available (includes the optimizing process).

The list price for a 12" LX200 in Europe is 7.500 Euros, but that includes the tripod. Now I'll sell mine for 4.000 Euros, AND I'LL PAY THE SHIPPING anywhere in Europe via UPS, full insured. Money order or bank wire transfer preferred; Paypal accepted, also in US$
