FOR SALE - 20” f/5 OBSESSION, an exquisite performer! Dave Kriege’s masterpieces stand the test of time and continue to set the standard for large aperature truss tube designs. This one is special, with a J. Hudek/Galaxy mirror set that was specified to be the best capable of production at a time when Galaxy was making its reputation among the finest in the industry. My agreement with Dave Kriege: We would wait for “the” mirror to come out of the 1992 production run, however long that may be, and I would make the scope available to him as the best for display, patiently waiting for delivery after Astrofest of that year. Both he and I could not have been happier with the result.

This reflector is the one that confirmed the discovery of Jupiter’s Olivarez Blue Features during the 1993 season. It has revealed very faint DSO’s and minute lunar and planetary features beyond what I thought capable for an aperature of this size. It has exceptional performance, and all of the desirable options as follows:

• Enhanced Reflective Coatings
• Custom Ripstop Nylon Shroud
• Integrated Primary Cooling Fan
• Wheelbarrow-Style Handles
• Unmatched Furniture-Grade Woodwork
• JMI NGC-Max Digital Setting Circles
• Telrad Finder for Quick Alignment
• Wooden Loading Ramps
• Custom Obsession Kydex UTA Extender

This last feature is necessary for optimal viewing with wide angle eyepeices but is no longer available for purchase on new scopes.
