**** Description Continued From Obsession 20” f/5 Ad“I” ****

Usage History - This scope was custom fabricated to my specifications and I have been the sole owner. It has only been transported and assembled 4 times for remote viewing. The rest of the time it has been carefully attended and stored fully assembled in my indoor study between observing sessions. It is free of marks, scars or gouges in the beautiful Baltic Birch woodwork and this is the one scope my wife has not objected to placement near our grand piano and other fine furniture. It appears new due to its fine condition. I purchased the scope primarily for deep sky observing but it soon became the instrument of choice for full-aperature lunar and
planetary work due to its exceptional performance.

Pricing - To replace this scope today with a *standard* Galaxy mirror set and the UTA extension (which is no longer available) would require $7123. I’m not sure if the mirror quality in this scope could be duplicated and if it were, how much more this would cost. Obsession historically maintains long waiting periods but why wait for delivery? This exquisite scope is available now for $5800.

Delivery - As you know if you are a qualified buyer, its too big to practically ship. I wouldn’t trust the carriers with this irreplaceable instrument anyway. Even so, I’m conveniently located in the mid-continent not far from Rick Singmaster’s operation. You would need to plan a trip to pick it up from here.

Other - Why am I selling? Don’t want to at all, but am preparing to commission a 12” refractor and don’t have unlimited resources. I have a rather complex schedule, so visiting by phone and arrangements to inspect/pick up the scope will need to be coordinated. E-mail is best initially.
