The Kendrick Dew Heater Elements #2008 (4”) and #2011 (8”) will fit the Orion 127 Starmax and the Meade LX200GPS 8” that I have, or should I say Meade has had for the last 3 months. That’s another story. I do not need the controller, just the heating elements. Other elements might work---like the Orion heating elements...or what ever? The circumfrence of the Meade is 28.75” so say about 28” for the heating strip part plus the Velcro part ought to work. I don’t know the exact dimensions for the 127 Starmax since I just ordered it. I thought it might be nice to have a telescope to look through while the Meade spends the next several years at the Meade repair facility. Did I say repair facility? Lets figure the Starmax needs a heating strip about 17” long plus the Velcro part. If you have something let me know. I am thinking around $20 to $30 each shipped, depending on how much cutting, soldering, fussing etc. I’ll have to do to make em work right. Isn’t astronomy fun! If it isn’t ridiculously expensive then you gotta build it your self. Hey, that’s the same thing. Build it your self and it’s ridiculously expensive. Last time I placed this add not one sole answered it. When I want to buy something 125 people beat me to it. What am I doing wrong here? YES I REALLY AM HAVING FUN!!!! The 3 hours I got to look through the Meade before I sent it back to get the GPS fixed has me completely and thoroughly hooked. all probably know what I mean.
