This very clean near new-condition F6.3 Meade 10" was bought on Astromart a couple of years ago. Though I was very happy with it, and found the optics much better than expected, I could find time for only about 7 observing sessions using a CI700 mount. My current location does not have good deep sky conditions due to severe light pollution. I very much prefer F6.3 to F10 for a variety of reasons, including greater ease of locating objects and richer fields.
My main reasons for selling are my aging back not wanting to lift this heavy scope up high, and the fact that I made the mistake of including it in my business inventory list(this means the State of CA will charge me $70 usage tax if I don't sell it). The scope has an attached telrad base, a like new Losmandy plate, and a like new Meade 2" star diagonal. CA residents must pay 7.75% sales tax, but this negative is balanced by the fact that local buyers can pick this up in person with a shipping/handling cost discount of $60. The Telrad scope is included. Other accessories are negotiable.
Asking price is $1080 shipped in the continental USA. Shipping cost and insurance will be substantial and prepaid. Please call 909-425-5300 and leave a message after two rings, and/or yell "telescopes" and any person within earshot will answer the phone. These extreme telephone measures were needed to foil telemarketers.
