Okay, I too have decided to upgrade to a bigger chip. This never ending upgrade process is great for people looking to get starting in CCD imaging - cheap cameras.
I'm offering a ST-7E ABG with the extra cooling option that is about a year old. It comes with 1.25" and 2" nose pieces, hard case, and all the usual stuff (CCDSoft, power supply, cables, manuals) for $1650, including shipping (conus). I've attached an image of M20 I took this summer (quality is limited by my skills only - not the camera). It is a great performer.
So that's the deal......you can buy a new ST-7E camera at a great close-out price of $2399 (more than $800 more after shipping) from Herb, or there are some older non-E cameras at even lower prices - but you want an camera that is the current non-USB design/current chip you won't find one cheaper or in better shape than this.
