I'll try this one last time at a much lower price! I've got a Davidson Optronics D275 autocollimating/alignment telescope for sale. The scope was manufactured sometime just before 1964 (serial #400). This scope is in excellent condition, without any wear to the lenses, housing or stainless steel bore. The internal diagonal mirror has some very fine, spidery marks on one side. These shouldn't affect the use of this scope at all. It comes with a bulb illuminator, power pack for the illuminator (that has some tape residue on it still) and a very nice, red, hardwood case to hold the scope.
This is a superbly crafted instrument, with incredibly tight manufacturing tolerances for optical and mechanical coincidence! You can check out the Davidson Optronics web page for the specifications. The demand for these scopes has dropped somewhat recently, because they have been replaced in some capacities by lasers, but if you have used one of these before, you know how well-made these instruments are and what they are worth. To buy this scope new from Davidson now, you'd have to spend over $9000! I am need of money right now, so I've got to sell this off for less than I'd like. This is a great opportunity to get an optics bench off to a flying start!
