This modification was designed to replace the original center of your AP/Baader Wood Tripod center. This center allows you to fold-up and set-up your AP wood tripod in seconds without having to remove or replace any screws. There are also holes for six 1-1/4" eyepieces. With the three brass lock-down nuts you can also completely lock the three legs in place for added stability and safety. You need to have a AP/Baader wood tripod to use this modification.
The center is machined out of one solid piece of hardened aluminum and the hardware is made of stainless-steel and brass. The brass knobs were custom made for this product and they have thick threads for the maximum movement in the fewest turns. Sometime you can flick the lock-down knob just one time to extend or retract the hidden locking stainles-steel mechanism.
Cost is $400 + tax and shipping = $450.
