A rare set of Circa 1900-1915,made in NY, Bausch & Lomb binocular objectives. These have brass cells with a black anodized finsh. Glass is excellent. Of course uncoated because coatings were not invented until the early forties. Engraved on the side is "Bausch& Lomb Optical co. Rapid Rectilinear". The rapid rectilinear design consists of a cemented achromat with the convex sides facing the same direction. The design was very popular at the turn of the last century. the resulting effect was similar to a modern wide-angle lens which produces a wider field at the objective rather than using an ocular to create a wide-field.
$43.00 for the set includes shipping or trade something of interest.
