Regarding the OTA
The following damage is OK:
- Corrector plate and or secondary hopelessly dirty, broken or missing,
- Tube badly dented, gouged, and or scratched (the tube only),
- Primary mirror coating hopelessly dirty, but with only a few pits(!)
- Any combination of the above,
BUT, that is all.
The primary mirror itself, its mounting baffle, slide, focusing mechanism, and the back casting MUST be intact and in reasonable shape: the primary MUST still focus!
So, if your old catadioptric telescope is growing (Yuk!) things inside or has been (Oh no!) dropped, let's communicate.
I don't need the mount, just the OTA. If you don't want the mount, I may take it but let's talk about that.
