I am offering for sale one Thousand Oaks Type
2+, purchased in mid 2000 & guaranteed for 15 years.
This solar filter fits all Meade & Celestron SCT's,
as well as all Meade 7" Maks. This is the highest
quality glass & metal solar filter made by Thousand
Oaks. It shows an eye pleasing orangish solar disc,
w/sunspots, both umbra & penumbra aspects easily
discerbible, faculae easier to view towards solar
limb(s), & if sunspots are placed in Northern 1/3 of
Sun and Southern 1/3 of Sun, w/just one or more plcd.
reasonably near equatorial region of Sun, differential
rotation of Sun can be timed & dynamics of this phenomenon
can then be explained to anyone eager to learn about our
closest star! I paid $129 + appx.$10 s&h when I bought this new
just about two(2) years ago. I have probably used it fewer than
twenty(20) times & it is in exc.+++ cond and the optics have never been touched. It is in oriiginal box w/ original blister air foil
& I will sell this superb filter f/$60 mailed by Priority Mail w/ Del. Confirmation to buyers in CONUS. Any buyers more distant must
pay shipping. I prefer Postal Money Order or Money Order. I will
accept personal checks but filter will not be sent 'til check
clears. Please check my ratings.
Thanks, Michael-MM
