Here's the scoop, a Byers Series III Declination housing complete w/shaft, retaining ring,
top plate, what you see is what you get. Please note that there is a ding in the threads
which can be ground down and/or fixed easily, and the ding is past where the retaining ring
seats the shaft against the bearing. So call this part a "blem" and save a ton by buying a blem.

I do not need this, it is worth much much more than I am asking. The first person who wants it,
can have it for $2800, and I will even pay the shipping. A completed Byers Series III is
over $35,000 to the best of my knowledge. The declination housing is geniune Edward Byers Company,
a real Series III, has a 5"ID upper bearing and a 2.5"ID lower bearing.

If it doesn't sell at this low a price, some lucky non-profit organization will be given this
as a donation come December 2002, because at this price, you can probably give it away and get your
money back as a tax writeoff. But I am not a tax accountant, so do your own homework.

One thing is for certain, this is a steal at $2800 including all shipping in the continental USA.
Will consider shipping to the remaining free world, email for a quotation on the shipping charges.
