Tired of lugging a laptop out to the field to control your scope? Switch to a handheld PC!
I have a less than one year old Casio E-125 Pocket PC (Handheld PC, color screen - 65K colors, 32MB onboard memory, plus 2 128MB CF cards for expansion) with Pocket Sky software installed. Still a few months left on factory warranty. With a serial cable connected between the handheld and your GOTO scope (see Software Bisque's website for supported mounts/scopes and other software features) you can control the motion of your scope. Also makes a nice portable alternative to star charts, and the feature I used the most is the ability to overlay telrad circles over the displayed star charts. Software shows motion of stars/planets/other objects based on time and location entered, plus moon phases, solar system report, updateable database of objects and lots of other nice tidbits.
I am also including the following accessories with the device:
2 - 128MB Compact Flash cards (for image storage, MP3s, whatever...) CF cards will work with compatible digital cameras, so you can show off your astro images!
Targus 56K Pocket Modem (not a wireless device, connect to phone line like any other modem)
Lexar Media Jumpshot USB cable for fast read/writes to CF cards
Extra touch screen (in case original is ever damaged)
Leather Carrying Case
All this for $350 or make me an interesting offer or trade. I have well over $500 invested in software and hardware for this device. I can email more details on hardware or software if interested. Selling only to fund more astro endeavors.
