Thanks to all of those nice folks that spoke with us at NEAF.
The Deepsky Binoviewer is being presented by CAMERA CONCEPTS at RIVERSIDE in June. Have a look!
We demonstrated the 1.2X OCS and our Deepsky Binoviewer in a small 4.5" reflector and then on Sunday, in an 18 inch dobsonian where we reached focus at 1.2X with no problem (we had to rack all of the way out and then slide out as well because we were indoors!!!)So much for in-focus travel problems. We would like to announce that the 1.2X OCS (Optical Corrector System)will be ready for shipment in around two weeks. It is a machined black anodized tube that screws directly into the Deepsky Binoviewer and then is inserted into your focuser and 1 1/4" adapter. This system consists of two coated doublet lenses that allow any newtonian to focus our binoviewer with a true power of 1.2X so your 19mm Panoptics only become 15.2mm Panoptics!
NEWS FOR REFRACTOR OWNERS!!! We are in development and will have a super low power OCS for refractors that will integrate within any 1 1/4 inch star diagonal and allow you to focus our Deepsky Binoviewer at 1.2X!! We plan to demonstrate this at THE YORK STAR PARTY in June. Come see us and we will plug the Deepsky Binoviewer and an OCS in your dobsonian or refractor for a test drive after dark.
You Won't Believe Your Eye(s)!!!!!!
Deepsky Binoviewer in Foam Padded Case: $699.00
Newt or REF OCS purchased with Binoviewer: $199.00
OCS purchased alone (will fit Televue Binoviewer): $269.00
One Pair Optional 24mm "High Eye Relief" Plossls: $99
A note: Our present design employs self centering eyepiece holders. This is the optimum design for outstanding image merging and even folks that had never been able to merge in binoviewers had absolutely no problem looking through our unit. Dipoter adjustment is accomplished by sliding an eyepiece out a bit if needed. This is super easy and effective for obtaining perfect focus.
