This is a relatively fast f-ratio of 6.7 (focal length 800mm)with an overall length of only 42".

Outstanding 4-Element “Neo Achromat” Optics boost its performance beyond that of a standard achromat, the VX120 utilizes a 4-element, 2-group lens assembly — a “neo-achromat.” The extra doublet provides added color correction and field flattening, for a truer, more pleasing image. Full antireflection coatings.

This is a tremendous refractor and will be a welcome addition to anyone's arsenal of optics. Appeture fever has hit me and being on a limited budget, I need to sell this in order to buy a bigger scope.

Please note this is the OTA ONLY plus the following accessories:
* 1.25" visual back
* Optionial 1.25" T camera adapter
* Optional 2" visual back
* Optional 2 sets of 1/4"-20 tube rings
* Optional complete "Hargreaves Strut" as per the Sky and Telescope article by Thomas A. Dobbins, Sept 2001 pg. 114.
* 7x50mm finder with original Vixen 6 point mount
* Optional "X-Y" finder mount
* Rack and pinion focuser with focus lock
* Optional Orion Deluxe Padded carrying case
* All lens covers
* OTA dew shield
* Original Orion carton and packing materials

All of this equipment has had very little use, maybe 5-6 outings max with most of those to my front yard. It's all in near mint condition. The one exception would be scratches on the tube of the finder from the original 6 point mount. The newer finder mount is MUCH better.

I am asking $1295 and I will pay shipping to the lower 48 - we can split shipping to other locations. I am in Aurora Colorado. I can accept Money Orders and Bank checks. I will take personal checks but they will have to clear before I ship it out.

I'm vacillating on selling my 1.25" erecting prism and 2" mirror diagonal as well, so if these are items that interest you as well, please ask.

I am looking to get into a 9-10 inch cassegrian or catadioptric reflector - so I will entertain trade offers.
