Invested over $1000 - Your's for only $650 - OBO.

I'm selling my baby! My first scope is up for sale.

8" Meade DOB in great condition.

Includes:
1 32mm Celestron Plossl
1 25mm MA Plossl
1 12mm MA Plossl
1 9mm MA Plossl
1 Telrad finder
1 Laser collimator
1 base mounted eyepiece holder
1 Magellan I Setting Circle computer (w/Manuals, cables). Mounted to scope.

Primary mirror was recoated last summer, with the best possible coating.
(97% reflectivity) Job was done through OPT. Interior of the DOB tube is lined with felt, to reduce light reflection. I've also added a folding stool as a mount for elevating the scope to a comfortable level for viewing.

I've taken great care of this scope and I've used it for many star parties at Little Blair Valley in Anza Borrego. I hate to part with it but part of my deal with my wife on buying an LX-90 was to sell the DOB. This DOB actually has better viewing than my LX-90.

I have over $1000 invested in this scope. I'm letting it go for $650, OBO.

(Yes, you can buy a brand new DOB for a lot less $, but not with all the accessories, the lined tube, and the ultra high quality mirror.)

I would prefer to sell to someone in the local San Diego or Southern California area. I will not ship, but I'm willing to drive 100 miles to deliver. (I live in North San Diego county area.)

Or you can come and check it out at the OPTAS Star Party at Little Blair Valley in Anza Borrego State Park on May 11th.
