14 panel postcard called "Other '
worlds in the Sky". Dedicated to the 1934 Chicago World Fair ( Exposition) Interesting information about the sun, moon and planets from a perspective of almost 70 years ago. The "Century of Progress in Chicago was opened June 1, 1933 and the electrical current from the star Arcturus was transferred over Western Union Telegraph wires from Yerkes Observatory to Chicago and "for the first time in history, the modern miracle of utilizing starlight was put into practical use for the power generated from the light of Arcturus was used by President Roosevelt to operate the switch that officially opened the exposition by turning on the great light in the Hall of Science". Excellent condition. A collectors item for only $15.
