Here is a unique opportunity to obtain a complete set of Tele Vue Widefield eyepieces, i.e., a 40mm, 32mm, 24mm, 19mm, and 15mm. Having been essentially supplanted by the current Panoptic series of ep’s, the Widefields have been out of production for about 10 years, making them sought after for their collectability as well as their utility and excellent performance. What’s more, at 40mm, 32mm and 24mm, the three longest focal length ep’s in the Widefield series exceed the focal lengths of their Panoptic counterparts at 35mm, 27mm and 22mm, respectively, making them better at low-power panoramic viewing. This set is kept and offered in a fitted Pelican model #1400 waterproof case w/ pressure vent/valve. For those of you not familiar with Pelican products, they are premium-quality cases, and the model #1400 sells for $93.16.

I have two full sets of these ep’s, and have decided to part with one of them. The only difference between the two sets concerns the 32mm ep – one set has an old style (straight barrel) 32mm, and the other set has a new style (rubber grip-ring and eye cup) 32mm. While the old style is typically more desirable, I will give the buyer his/her choice of the 32mm’s. The 40mm, 19mm and 15mm ep’s in both sets are “old style,” but both of the 24mm ep’s are “new style.” I will not split up the set and sell individual ep’s, so please do not ask to cherry-pick the 32mm or 40mm. The ep’s show evidence of normal (and careful) usage, but overall condition of all the ep’s and the case is VG. $1000 plus shipping/insurance if paid via MO, or $1030 plus shipping and handling if paid via PayPal; sorry, no checks. I would also consider trading the ep’s (plus cash) for a premium 6” or 7” Apochromat.
