Tasco 60mm, f/15 (fl = 900mm) refractor tube. This was used for teaching children about telescopes and observing in a local elementary school. My kids are older now, so I will be selling a lot of the parts we used in the club.
Haven't personally checked the optics, but the lens looks good and clear. Metal tube, no finder. It has a 0.965" draw tube focuser, but the end eyepiece holder ring is missing - we put a homemade diagonal on the scope and misplaced the ring somewhere. Painted metallic blue, few dings and tiny dents, with "Tasco Galaxsee" painted on it.
Ideal for building a moon viewing scope, which is what we stressed. We taught the kids how to hold parts together using glue, masking tape or duct tape (the permanent solution!) to show that the hobby is fun and doesn't have to be expensive or complicated.
In order to pass it on to some one (or family) that wants to start up in astronomy, I'll sell it for $20 (which includes US priority mail). Have a few assorted parts that might help in building a complete scope for sale on the side. Not a fancy tube, but definitely fun to play with. And, it sure beats the 40mm pawn shop special I started with!
** SOLD*** Also found a 60mm, fl = 700mm, Meade Polaris tube with 0.965" focuser. This has a good lens, no finder (although I might be able to locate one). Painted black, scratches, no dew shield, so I'm asking only $15 postage paid. ** SOLD**
Thanks for looking
