Superb 8" Meade LX-90 system with Autostar GOTO, heavy duty tripod, 8x50 finder, star diagnonal, 26 mm Super Plossl eyepiece. 1 year old. Optics are excellent in this LX-90. I have used this system with an SBIG ST-7E CCD camera, and autoguided with average errors in RA and DEC of <1 arcsecond for several hours. This has amazed some very knowledgeable people, attesting the the excellent drives in this particular LX-90. The GOTO has impressed everyone at our astronomy club star parties. A 2 minute, 2-star alignment at the beginning of the evening keeps it on target all night long.

The image attached to this ad is the Sombrero Galaxy, M104, that was taken from my backyard 2 weeks ago with the LX-90 and ST-7E.

Requesting $1375 plus shipping. I'll throw in the AC/DC power supply if purchased before 3/15. You'll really want it instead of dealing with the 8 C cell batteries.

Much of my imaging is done in my backyard in light-polluted Sacramento. I am selling this system in order to upgrade to an ATO with a larger aperture. I have enjoyed its portability for trips to the nearby montains near Lake Tahoe and when I shipped it to Arizona for 4 nights of dark sky imaging.

Please call me at (916)712-2559 or e-mail me at the address indicated below if you are interested.
