This home built mount was made for use with a Celestron 8" schmidt camera. It is of welded aluminum construction. It has a 7.5" byers gear, (with an adjustable tension clutch), driven by a 120 vac synchronous motor. The motor is controlled by a 12 vdc AccuTrac mini drive inverter with a custom hand control that has on-off, fast slow and variable speed features. Power draw is 1/3 amp at 12 volts. The polar shaft is 1-1/4 inch in diameter. The distance between the dec plates is about 9 inches and the swing through distance is 9". The polar axis is connected to a triangular wooden box that has Dobsonian type bearings on the sides. This sits in a Dobsonian type base box. This arrangement is meant to allow altitude adjustments in the polar axis. Its funky but functional. $350 plus shipping
