150mm Skywatcher achromat (blue tube) as favorably reviewed by Ed Ting at scoperviews.com and elsewhere. Focal length: 1200mm, Focal ratio: f/8, 4-layer multi-coated achromatic lens, aluminum tube, matching dew cap/sunshade, home-made and lighter dewshield, two objective caps, (one with 100mm extra cap for solar and tighter planetary viewing), 9x50 achromatic cross-haired finderscope, rings and dovetail bar, 1.25 adapter for 2” focuser. Nice star points, great for deep-sky (Perseid double cluster a real treat) and stunning on Jupiter and Saturn, holds up well to about 250x, with typical achromat color.
In additon, I will throw in a blem Sirius Optics MV-1b filter that tamps down the achromatic purple nicely on planets (early version of filter highlighted in S&T’s 12/01 Hot Products issue), and a 1.25 diagonal.
All this shipped to you for $399 (in conus).
