They really are classic, but they're also out of date and I don't know what to do with them. All of the books have been used by a respectful amateur observer whose widow gave them to me. I'm more interested in a good home for them than in making any money, and I will split the proceeds with the widow. Offered as a group ONLY, but if they don't sell I may consider selling them individually.
1. Atlas Coeli 1950.0 by Antonin Becvar, hardcover 1962. English text with color maps and plastic grid overlays. VERY large format, 17"x23". Some marking on the maps by the original owner.
2. Atlas Coeli-II Katalog 1950.0 by Becvar, Hardcover 1960. This one's in Hungarian. Good condition, complete and with very little marking.
3. Rectified Lunar Atlas (Supplement to the Photographic Lunar Atlas) Whitaker, Kuiper, Hartmann, Spradley, hardcover 1963. Pre-Apollo B&W photographic atlas in very good condition. 15"x19" format.
4. The Hubble Atlas of Galaxies, Allan Sandage, softcover 1961. B&W very good condition.
5. The Amateur Astronomer's Handbook, James Muirden, hardcover 1983. Some underlining but otherwise in very good condition.
6. Yale Catalog of Bright Stars, with errata, Dorrit Hoffleit, softcover 1964. Unmarked in good condition.
7. Norton's Star Atlas and Telescope Handbook, Norton and Inglis, hardcover 1959. Rough and underlined but apparently complete.
I'll throw in a couple of Sky and Telescope observing cards for Messier objects (older) and Best Deep Sky Objects (newer) and "The Finest Deep-Sky Objects" booklet by Mullaney and McCall.
Buyer must pay actual shipping including oversize box.
